When I was 10 years old my father took me on his architectural site visits. On the way, he would pull over, take out the watercolors and we would paint. This began my enduring love of painting.
My years as an Architect, a Show Designer at Walt Disney Imagineering and an Art Director and Department head at Universal Studios Japan kept me in constant touch with my love for the creative process.
I live and work with my artist husband between Los Angeles and New York. My New York studio is in a large barn built in 1843.
Painting is a sustaining force in my life. For me, it's a necessity like air and water. My work is focused on our earth's changing landscape, especially climate change.
I have shown and sold my work in Los Angeles at the Venice Art Auction and Bergamot Station Charity Auctions. I was a curator for Art for Clare Charity Auction for six years. I have also shown at bG Gallery,TAG Gallery and Gallery 825 in Los Angeles. For the last four years, I have shown in Upstate New York and Vermont at Southern Vermont Art Center, Maple Ridge Gallery and Laffer Gallery. For the last three years I have been part of the 21st, 22nd and 23rd Japan International Art Exchange at The National Art Center in Tokyo Japan and The Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum where I received an award of excellence and a GOLD award.
In 2022 I was in the Sister City II International Collaborative Exhibition in Adelaide, Australia and our work was later shown at Linton & Kay Gallery in Perth, Australia.
I have given workshops for other artists in Los Angeles and New York. I am affiliated with Women Painters West and Southern Vermont Art Center.
My husband, a sculptor educated at Rhode Island School of Design, shares my commitment to fine art.
